Construction Writers Association Silver Hard Hat Award Deadline is April 7, 2006

(Buffalo Grove, IL) The Construction Writers Association is accepting nominations for its highest honor, the Silver Hard Hat Award. The award is given for service to the architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) industry and/or for service to the association. A maximum of two awards may be given annually - one for service to the industry and one for service to the association. Silver Hard Hat awards are given at the judges' discretion and not necessarily every year in every category. The award is bestowed upon the honoree(s) at CWA's annual awards dinner in the spring - this year, Thursday, May 4, 2006 in Washington, DC.
The nominee may be in any segment of the AEC industry and need not be a member of CWA. The nominee should have contributed significantly to the betterment of the association or the industry. The Silver Hard Hat usually signifies recognition of actions and deeds over an extended period of time and not just for the year the award is given. Anyone may submit a nomination for themselves or others whom they deem to have made significant contributions to the construction industry and/or CWA.
Entry forms have been emailed to CWA members and may also be found on the CWA website, www.constructionwriters.org. The deadline for submissions is April 7, 2006.
