CWA Schedules 2003 Events
November, 2002
The Construction Writers Association has added a west coast meeting to its traditional lineup for activities. Following is the lineup of events:
Wednesday, February 5, 2003, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas. CWA's reception at the World of Concrete will be held from 5 to 6 pm in the press room, Room N253.
Friday, March 14, 2003 is the deadline for submitting entries of work produced in 2002 to the CWA Journalism Awards program. We offer three Boger awards (features, series or special reports, and editorials), Russell newsletter awards, and Godfrey body-of-work awards.
Thursday-Friday, May 1-2, 2003, at the Hotel Washington and the National Press Club, Washington, DC. CWA�s annual meeting will feature a Thursday morning education session, noon tour, afternoon board meeting, and evening journalism awards dinner at the Hotel Washington. On Friday morning, we will meet at the National Press Club for our traditional annual meeting program and luncheon.
Friday, August 15, 2003 is the deadline for submitting entries for the CWA Marketing Communications Awards and Website Awards programs. Marketing Communications Awards included are: corporate communications, public relations, and advertising. The CWA Website awards include both journalism- and marketing-oriented sites.
Thursday-Friday, October 2-3, 2003 (tentative) in Chicago. CWA's midyear meeting will feature a Thursday morning education session, afternoon board meeting, and informal Dutch-treat dinner. On Friday morning, a wide-ranging program will be followed by the marketing communications awards luncheon and a construction-related tour.
