CWA ANNOUNCES WEBSITE AWARDS

February, 2001

Entry forms are now available for the fourth annual Construction Writers Association (CWA) Website Awards. Established in 1958, CWA has a history of honoring journalistic achievement, beginning in 1971 with its annual Robert F. Boger Awards for editorial excellence and achievement in construction journalism. In 1993, CWA established the T. Randolph Russell Award for newsletters. In 1998, the CWA website awards were introduced, and in 1999 the association announced the first Kneeland Godfrey Award for Body of Work.

The website competition is open to any construction-related individual, organization or company submitting a completed entry form accompanied by a $100 entry fee. Entries will be divided into dollar investment categories. A winner will be selected and receive an award plaque in each category. Judging will be conducted by an impartial panel of industry peers with acknowledged expertise in web design on the basis of ten established criteria.

Entry forms may be obtained by calling the CWA office at (847) 398-7756. Requirements and entry forms are also posted on this website. All entries must be received no later than Monday, April 2, 2001. The awards will be presented at CWA's annual meeting dinner in Washington, D.C. Thursday, May 3, 2001.
