Construction Writers Association 2010 Annual Conference to Explore "Embracing the New Normal" October 25-26 in Chicago

Chicago, IL – The Construction Writers Association (CWA), an international organization for journalists, writers, editors, and public relations professionals serving the information needs of the construction industry, will hold its 2010 Annual Conference in Chicago on October 25 and 26.

The conference will explore “Embracing the New Normal” and feature presentations on key issues affecting the construction industry, discussions on social media, significant building construction, multiple editors roundtables on hot topics, and a tour of Chicago’s new $1 billion Children’s Memorial Hospital scheduled for completion in 2011.

The conference will also includes a a session on top some of the industry’s most complex construction projects involving national and international projects such asincluding an in-depth look at: “Revivinge Wacker Drive,” the reconstruction of Chicago’s historic double-decker roadway.,

“This year’s CWA conference program is set to be the strongest yet, with top industry guest speakers and journalists gathering for two days to exchange information, ideas, and form new relationships. The conference will will also includes a Grand Awards Dinner honoring this year’s Silver Hard Hat, Hall of Fame, Journalism, Photography, Marketing Communications, Website and Electronic Communications, and Build a Future Scholarship award winners. The Grand Awards Dinner and conference will be held at the Hilton Suites just steps from Chicago’s famed Magnificent Mile.
