CWA Announces Proposed Slate of Officers for 2010-2011

Chicago–The nominating committee of the Construction Writers Association (CWA) is pleased to present its proposed slate of officers for 2010-2011. CWA members holding current individual memberships are eligible to vote on the slate of officers by May 25, 2010.
“We’re happy to have so many experienced professionals in construction journalism, public relations and marketing communications on the ballot,” said Brenda Aschliman, chairman of the nominating committee and director of corporate communications for Walter P Moore. “All of the candidates have shown themselves to be enthusiastic leaders within CWA.”
Bill Wilson, editorial director of Roads and Bridges magazine, is slated for the first vice president and Marc Ramsey, communications manager with The Surety and Fidelity Association of America, is slated for the second vice president. On the ballot to serve a one-year term are Jeri Briegge Lamerton, public relations manager for Ditch Witch and Tina Grady-Barbaccia, executive editor of Better Roads magazine. On the ballot to serve a two-year term are Patti Flesher, manager, media relations for Portland Cement Association; Rolf Fuessler, APR, FSMPS, president of Fuessler Group Inc.; Kim Phelan, executive editor and director of programs, Associated Equipment Distributors; Rod Sutton, former editor-in-chief, Construction Equipment magazine; and Tudor Van Hampton, Midwest bureau chief, Engineering News Record.
