Call For Entries: Construction Writers Association 2010 Website and Electronic Communications Awards

CHICAGO--Entries are being accepted for Construction Writers Association's(CWA) 2010 Website and Electronic Communications Awards. Now in their 13th year, the awards recognize excellence in journalistic and marketing-oriented websites, e-newsletters, e-zines, blogs, wikis, podcasts, and webcasts

Entries will be divided into three classifications:

The competition is open to individuals or organizations related to the construction industry. The deadline for entries is Friday, July 16, 2010. Entries must have been produced between January 1, 2009 and the submission deadline. The fee is $125 per entry. Awards will be presented at the CWA Grand Awards Dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010 during the 2010 Annual Conference Embracing the New Normal.  The two-day conference will be held at the Hilton Suites Chicago on the Magnificent Mile on Oct. 25-26, 2010.

“Websites and electronic communications continued to play an important role for manufacturers, dealers, contractors, associations and publications in the construction industry,” said Susan Garritano, president of the Construction Writers Association. “This is a great way to earn industry-wide recognition for work that successfully engages an online audience.”

Websites will be judged on the basis of the following criteria, each carrying equal weight:

Electronic Communications entries will be judged on the following criteria, and judges will determine if any additional criteria is needed.
