Call for Entries: Construction Writers Association 2010 Marketing Communications Awards

CHICAGO--Entries are being accepted for the Construction Writers Association's 2010 Marketing Communications Awards. The annual awards, in their tenth year, recognize an important aspect of construction writers' efforts--marketing communications, including advertising, corporate communications and public relations. The deadline for entries is Friday, July 30, 2010.

“CWA's Marketing Communications Awards are a great opportunity to submit your best work for review and recognition throughout the construction industry,” said Michael Anderson, chairman of the Marketing Communications Awards committee. “Winning entries will be showcased online, in the media, and in the CWA eXchange e-zine. Winners will also be honored at our annual CWA Grand Awards Dinner.”

The competition is open to any construction industry-related individual, corporation, association, advertising agency/PR firm or publication submitting a completed entry form along with a $125 entry fee.

Entries, which must have been produced between January 1, 2009 and the submission deadline, will be divided into four classifications:

Entries will be judged on the basis of graphic design (25%), written content (25%) and effectiveness in achieving the state marketing and communications goals (50%).

The CWA Grand Awards Dinner which will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, during CWA's Annual Conference in Chicago. The two-day conference will be held at the Hilton Suites on the Magnificent Mile on October 25-26, 2010.
